This March, college basketball fans will fill out NCAA Tournament brackets, many of them hoping that it could make them a $1 billion richer. You know that’s an impossible task. No one has done it before, so why not just stick to predicting which team will win it all? You could make money off it, too. Just not a billion dollars of course.
The Jayhawks bounced back with back-to-back wins after suffering an upset loss against Kansas State on February 10. Joel Embiid’s return from injury was immediately felt as he scored 18 points in Kansas’ win over the Red Raiders. His return also boosted the stock of the Jayhawks heading into the final canto of the regular season.
Many saw a loss coming for previously undefeated Syracuse, but they were shocked nonetheless that it came against a team they least expected to beat the Orange – Boston College. Despite a blemished record, Syracuse remains a team to reckon with in the NCAA Tournament. They have the players, the experience, and needless to say, the coach in Jim Boeheim to lead them to the top.
Florida is treating its opponents in the same way a croc would do to a live chicken. The Gators have been tearing the opposition apart, which includes their 69-59 destruction of preseason #1 Kentucky. Billy Donovan’s squad has proven it can dance with anyone come March. Florida has a good shot of ending the regular season as the nation’s #1.
For weeks, the Wildcats were kings of the AP polls until two February losses caused them to stumble down in the rankings. Arizona may not be able to recover that lofty status but reaching the Final Four is not an impossible task for the still dangerous Arizona team.
Weak schedule or not, an undefeated record is still worth looking at. The Shockers lived up to their billing last year, and there’s no reason to believe that they can’t reach the national semifinals again.
Do you think the national champion will be any from these teams? You can turn your predictions into money simply by putting a futures bet or two on any of the these recommended sportsbooks:
