Jason Day

We’re only a day away from the start of the 2015 Tour Championship and excitement is definitely building for the final leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs. All eyes will be on newly-minted world no. 1 Jason Day as he attempts to win not only his sixth PGA Tour title this season but also the coveted FedEx Cup and its $10 million top prize.

Day may be the overwhelming favorite right now but a host of other golfers are ready to steal his thunder at East Lake this week. Read on below to find out which golfers are favored to win the upcoming Tour Championship and while you’re at it, you can check out our sportsbook review section to find out which sportsbooks provide the best sports betting opportunities.

SPORTSBOOKS DECLARE 2015 TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP FAVORITES

Jason Day

Jason Day remains the sportsbooks’ top pick to win the Tour Championship this week, with his odds currently priced at +300. The Australian has been on fire lately, winning four of the last six tournaments he has entered, including the coveted PGA Championship. To put into perspective Day’s dominance this campaign, he matched Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh as the only golfers in the past 20 years to win at least five times in one PGA Tour season. The smart money’s definitely on Day to continue his excellent form this week.

Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy will head to the Tour Championship with momentum on his side after his solid finish at the BMW Championship last weekend. He ended up tied for fourth at Chicago last week, his first top-10 finish since returning from an ankle injury at the PGA Championship. McIlroy will fancy his chances of grabbing the Tour Championship this week as he has fared extremely well in this event in the past. He tied for second in this tournament last year. The Northern Irishman is listed at +550 to win this coming weekend.

Jordan Spieth

Jordan Spieth may be in a slump right now but you can’t rule out the American phenom from contending at the Tour Championship this week. He already has four tournament victories this year, grabbing wins at the Masters, US Open, Valspar Championship and John Deere Classic. After missing cuts in his two starts leading up to the BMW Championship, Spieth rebounded with a 13th-place finish at Chicago last week. That will serve him in good stead ahead of the season-ending Tour Championship. He tied for second at this event back in 2013 so Spieth definitely knows his way around the East Lake course. He is pegged at +650 to win this week.

With all of this information in mind, it’s time to make a decision. Create an account with our favorite golf sportsbook and take your pick on who you think will capture the Tour Championship.
