Clayton Kershaw wants to hear it

Boston Red Sox

The race to the top of the American League East has been a three-team affair between the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Tampa Bay Rays with the Red Sox currently on top. The Red Sox have struggled a bit since the start of the second half of the season, going just 6-8 in their last 14 games. There’s still a ton left of the season and with the opportunity to improve the roster at the trade deadline, the Red Sox still looks a good bet at +700 to win it all.

Los Angeles Dodgers

For a moment, the Dodgers looked like they were impossible to get beaten. With a 71-31 record as of this writing, the Dodgers are clearly the team to beat. They’ve gone 10-2 in 12 games following the All-Star break and even with the extended absence of pitching God Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers should have enough to hold the fort until the deadly lefty returns to action. The Dodgers’ odds of +250 to bring the title to Chavez Ravine are currently the shortest in the majors.

Washington Nationals

Still in the National League, we have the Nationals, who are labeled at this point of the season with a World Series title price of +750. There seems to be no one touching the team in the NL East with preseason top contender New York Mets bombing out of the race no thanks to a barrage of injuries to some of their top players. As of this writing, the Nationals are 13 games ahead of everybody else in the division.
