Lebron James

Over at the Eastern Conference, nothing much has changed. LeBron James is still the King and his Cleveland Cavaliers are still expected to earn their second-straight conference title at a price of -300.

Eastern Conference Championship –CLEVELAND CAVALIERS. Enough said.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are slowly breaking way from the rest of the Eastern Conference teams. They carry a comfy 4.5-game grasp of the top seat with a solid win-loss record of 27-9. The Big Three of LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving have been getting it done almost every night.

James and Love have combined for 42.0 PPG, 18.1 RPG and 8.6 APG. Irving, meanwhile, is slowly finding his All-Star form back after returning from a dislocated knee cap. Across 10 games thus far, the 23-year-old point guard is posting 16.5 PPG, 2.8 RPG and 4.1 APG while shooting 41.5 percent from the field. Those three alone have yet to play in full-strength and are bound to be even more dangerous as the season progresses.

Not too far behind (yet) are the Chicago Bulls (+800) and Toronto Raptors (+1200). The Bulls have been led by none other than Jimmy Butler, who is averaging a team-best of 22.2 PPG with 4.9 RPG and 4.1 APG, towards a respectable 22-15 record. But the Raptors currently have a better record than them at 24-15 thanks to their premiere scoring duo in Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan.

These two squads will definitely seize whatever opportunity they see and eventually make enough noise to give the James and co. some trouble down the stretch. For now though, the Cavaliers are indeed the beast of the east.
