Sportsbook, sports betting

Almost all sportsbooks offer a variety of bonuses to draw the attention of potential customers. Chances are most online bettors were enticed to sign up and deposit because of promised bonuses. First and foremost, all these bonuses are true. Sportsbooks really do walk the extra mile just to increase the chances of customers joining. Secondly, it offers a win-win situation for both the ‘book and the new player; the sportsbook gets a new customer, while the player gets extra money.

Now, there are several types of bonuses, but of the most common is the deposit bonus. The bonus rate usually ranges from 20% up to 100%. There are even others, who offer as much as 150%. Does that sound like it’s too good to be true? That a deposit of $1,000 mean that a sportsbook like Leon Bets, which has a 150% deposit bonus, would credit your account with an extra $1,500?  We’re happy to say that it is.  However (you saw it coming didn’t you?), before you can withdraw that bonus money, you must fulfill a requirement, which is called betting rollover.

Betting rollover, which is also referred to as wager requirement, is the necessary amount of bets a player must make before being allowed to withdraw the money attached with the sign up bonus.

For example, a sportsbook says that they offer a 50% deposit bonus with “3x rollover”. This simply means that if you signed up to that sportsbook and made an initial deposit of $100, you will get an extra free money worth $50, which is to be multiplied to three (3x rollover). That means you have to bet at least $150 before being eligible to withdraw the bonus.

Now that you have basic knowledge of how the deposit bonus and betting rollover work, you can now start hunting down which sportsbooks will give you a bigger bang for the buck according to your preference. You can begin looking for them in our list of sportsbooks in our review section.
