The 2015-16 NFL regular season has not disappointed at all, as the action has never been this exciting and intense. The best football players around the world continue to indulge us with their God-given talents with the intention of leading their team to glory. Of course, there are already some names that have surprised or have lived up to the expectations thus far. That said, read on below and take a good look at the top three favorites, who are deemed to be the favorites to win the league’s Most Valuable Player Award this year.

SPORTSBOOKS DECLARE 2015 NFL MVP FAVORITES

Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers)

So far, so good for Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, the reigning MVP of the league, has successfully carried his Green Bay Packers to a 2-0 record even without his favorite target in wide receiver, Jordy Nelson, who is out for the season due to a serious knee injury. Throughout the first two weeks, the 31-year-old quarterback has been a man on a mission especially during against their arch nemesis—the Seattle Seahawks—in Week 2. In that contest, he single-handedly led his team to an impressive 27-17 and finished 25-of-33 for 249 yards and had two touchdowns, while owning a 116.9 passer rating, his best ever opposite Seattle.  That kind of performance pretty much explains why he is at a price of +200 to capture his third MVP award.

Tom Brady (New England Patriots)

Tom Brady has definitely been unleashing his offseason frustrations in the first two weeks of their 2015 campaign. Brady, who is a +300 favorite to win the highest individual award in the NFL, has led his New England Patriots to a 2-0 start. The veteran quarterback (38 years old) continues to defy Father Time with huge numbers through the first two weeks. In that stretch, Brady has tossed a league-best 754 passing yards with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions across his name. If he continues to keep this up, the Patriots are probably heading back to the grandest stage of football—the Super Bowl—this season.

Andrew Luck (Indianapolis Colts)

Despite a 0-2 start for the Indianapolis Colts, Andrew Luck remains one of the top favorites (+500) to win the MVP award this 2015 season. But that still has yet to be seen with Luck struggling to take care of the football with five interceptions—the highest in the league—under his belt already. Although his yardage (493) is still pretty decent, the 26-year-old needs to limit his turnovers and eventually become the person who had the most touchdown passes in 2014.

Also, it’s worth noting that Luck’s new weapons in Andre Johnson and Frank Gore are going to be vital pieces to their success this season. Once the offense finally finds its groove back, Luck is going to be in for huge year with Johnson and Gore getting a lot of attention from the opposing defense every night.
